TMP Running for Military Heroes

On August 24, 2019, one of our Team Marine Parents (TMP) Participants, Erika Devenney, participated in the 9th annual Military Heroes 5/10k Run. The event was held at Byron Nelson High School, Trophy Club in Roanoke, TX. The funds are raised to support America's fighting service members who have suffered injuries while defending our freedom.

Erika said, "Although it was uncomfortably hot and humid, the race director announced they had a larger than predicted turnout." While Erika was getting her bib, she overheard a runner say something about her son running with the group of poolees a recruiter had brought in. At this moment, she took the opportunity to invite her to join Team Marine Parents. This made getting up so early very worthwhile for Erika. Way to go Erika!
