Terri and her husband live in central Maine with their cat and two dogs. She is a math teacher at the town’s high school, and coach's the field hockey team each fall. Terri's son Josh entered boot camp in February of this year, and she immediately became immersed in MarineParents.com.
"Josh’s determination to become one of the few keeps me going each day as I prepare for the 10K. I am running in honor of my son Josh, and of a former student from our school, Ben, who was wounded this summer by an IED while doing a tour in the sandbox. Josh is on his way to Okinawa, and Ben is on his way home to recuperate, but looks forward to returning to the Marines."
"As our school’s JROTC Colonel says, “The Marines take good care of their own.” I am looking forward to meeting the other parents that will be participating in the race, and finally putting a face with the names that I’ve been reading every evening."
