John Holden lives near Tucson, Arizona and works as an assistant building official for a town just north of Tucson. He was born at Fort Benning, Georgia so spent many years as an army brat. John then went into the Navy and was a torpedoman on a submarine for 6 years. John says "I didn't see much down there." John went to college and got smart, then, as he says, forgot most of it. His youngest son joined the Marines about a year and a half ago as a Reservist and lives in Tucson but is getting ready to deploy. John enjoys hiking and shooting. "I look forward to running in San Diego and meeting other parents who will follow me through the course."
